The THINKlab is delighted to have been asked to take part in the UK Research and Investment (UKRI) Adaptation and Resilience Series Launch Event which will take place on 3rd June 2021.

The Director of the THINKlab, Professor Terrence Fernando, will deliver a short presentation on the MOBILISE and TRANSCEND projects which focus on climate adaptation and building resilience within disaster risk reduction.

The online presentation is part of the official UK launch event which marks the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) which will take place in Glasgow in November 2021.

The launch event will showcase research that is collaborative, locally-led and globally relevant which is aligned to the UK COP26 presidency’s adaptation and resilience theme. Events will be online and co-hosted by the COP26 delivery partners who are based in different countries and regions across the globe.

The event will feed into the COP26 conference by bringing together global communities, businesses, researchers from a range of disciplines, and local, regional and national-level policymakers to support solution-driven discussions.
