Biography

Hasanga Keshan Dharmadasa is a dedicated and passionate researcher who always seeks to serve the society with his abilities and skills and he has an eagerness in the fields of Disaster Risk Management and Construction management. He is a B.Sc. (Hons) first class degree holder in the field of Quantity Surveying from the Department of Building Economics, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. He is a research scholar attached to the same department following a Doctor of Philosophy degree program (PhD) and currently working as a research assistant to TRANSCEND project. As far as his future perspectives are concern, he is willing to contribute to a technology driven disaster resilient built environment.

Contribution to the TRANSCEND

Conducting a research study related to the “Work Package 04 – Stakeholder Engagement (Living lab, Experimentation, Validation, Dissemination and Impact and etc.)” ” under the supervision of Prof. Udayangani Kulatunga, Dr. Menaha Thayaparan, and Dr. Kaushal Keraminiyage. The title of the research study is “Capacity Assessment for effective resource utilization to form a disaster resilient built environment”. As the initial stage of the research, systematic literature review is being conducted to find out different types of disaster resilient models to define/measure the resource requirement in the built environment. Looking to the future potentials of the research, it is expected develop a tool to quantify the exact resource requirement in a particular disaster prone area in forming a disaster resilient environment.
